Karen Astarita is a senior human resources executive with extensive experience in total rewards, performance management and talent development. She has led large-scale business integrations, benefit redesign efforts and performance management system design to drive performance. With her teams, Astarita has developed comprehensive strategies to improve depth of talent pipeline to meet future business needs.

In her current role Astarita supports Unilever’s global brand development and global functional teams with HR expertise solutions across total rewards and talent that are business aligned and fit for purpose. She joined Unilever in January 2000 after Unilever’s acquisition of Bestfoods. Astarita has held an array of human resources roles in reward, talent, learning and resourcing as well as workforce administration in large multinational and midsize U.S. companies.

Astarita holds a B.S. degree from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations and an MBA in finance and marketing from University of Rochester, Simon School of Business.
